We at Whitethorn School would like to take this opportunity to thank our community, sponsors, volunteers, musicians, and runners for helping to make our 4th Annual Fun Run such a wonderful success. We were again blessed with a beautiful day, great location, and a fabulous group of supporters. This event wouldn’t be possible without all the great families, school volunteers, and supportive community members.

I would like to start by thanking Humboldt County Roads, Marty Messenger and our run course crew for another Fun Run. A huge thank you goes to Shelter Cove Fire & Rescue, for helping us set up and keeping our runners safe.

Thanks again this year to The Fish Tank Pizzeria for doing the water station for all the thirsty runners. Thank you to Lotus Mountain for our beautiful event shirts and the Garberville Sign Co. for all our great signs. We are grateful to Hospice of the Redwoods for letting us use their big event tent. Thanks to Mike at the Jogg’n Shoppe in Arcata, for the continued support and advice.

Once again a huge thank-you goes to Jumpin’ For Joy for the use of their wonderful bounce houses. Shelter Cove Pioneers, thank you for another great year at the dessert booth. Thank you to Razzle Dazzle, our favorite clown, for the endless hours of entertainment. Our fabulous musicians, the two Bevitori’s, did a great job this year with their wonderful songs (especially with the challenging wind). You guys rock.

A very special thank-you to J Catering for all the delicious salads and hard work. Thanks to Elk Prairie Vineyard and Briceland Vineyard for their great wines, and the Wilson’s, thank you for the popcorn.

Thank you to the fencing crew, kitchen and serving crew, barbecue and bar crew, to everyone who set up and took down the site, and thank you to the kids-area people. Everyone was a great help. A huge thanks goes to our coordinating ladies. Thank you so much.
