The monthly government food commodities provided by Food for People in Eureka and distributed by volunteers at the Food Pantry located on Locust at the Community Presbyterian Church in Garberville will be available on Wednesday, June 18 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursday, June 19 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. If your income falls within the government income guidelines, you are eligible. The commodities for this month are: tuna, tomato sauce, vegetable soup, macaroni, vegetarian beans, and green beans. Please bring large grocery bags or boxes if you can.
Individuals are asked to “self certify” that they are eligible by signing in. Please bring identification with your local address. If you are picking up for a homebound person, you must have a note from them with their name, address, the number in their family, income, and authorization. No food will be distributed until all is unloaded into the Pantry, so please come about 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday to help the volunteer driver unload. We ask that individuals or families try to come only once a month to help us serve as many households as possible - but if you need food, please come.
