Feelings of isolation and stress can result from facing the daily challenges of caring for a parent with dementia or chronic illness.

An ongoing information and support group meets on the fourth Thursday of each month from 4 to 5 p.m., at 350 E St., Suite 510, Eureka. The 2008 meeting dates are May 29, June 26, July 31, Aug. 28, Sept. 25, and Oct. 30.
