Did you know too much cholesterol in the blood is one of the main risk factors for heart disease and stroke - two leading causes of death in the United States?
Learn what steps you can take to prevent high cholesterol or to reduce your LDL "bad" cholesterol level. Participants will receive cookbooks and prepare home fries in coconut oil and a vegetable salad with tangy avocado dressing.
Space is limited to 10 people for the cooking demonstration held from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. and to 25 people for the nutrition informational session and taste test from 6:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. There is no charge for the class.
