Individuals are asked to “self-certify” that they are eligible by signing in. Please bring identification with your local address. If you are picking up for a homebound person, you must have a consent form each month from them with their name, address, the number in their family, income and authorization.
We ask that individuals or families try to come only once a month to help us serve as many households as possible - but if you need food, please come. A household may receive commodities only one time per month but we do have some “emergency” food donated by local residents and merchants.
The Letter Carriers Food Drive was very successful. Many thanks to all of you who donated and to the letter carriers for collecting it. We received almost 1,000 pounds of food to help replenish the supplies and improve the variety of foods we can offer.
The Food Pantry is usually open every Tuesday and Thursday 10:30 a.m. - 12 noon, and Wednesdays 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Volunteers are needed for backup on all three days. Anyone wishing to donate food for the Food Pantry program or who has an idea of how to improve the distribution program should talk to the volunteers.
We welcome any produce in good condition from your home garden and can arrange for gleaners to help pick your fruit trees so the food does not go to waste. For more information, please call Patti at 223-2430.
