”Celebrating Our Health” is a chance for the whole family to have fun while getting important health information. The day will include:
o Free food from Rita’s
o Music from the band La Nueva Ilusión
o Children’s activities
o Free health screenings and flu vaccinations
o General health and resource information
o A free bike helmet and bike safety lesson for kids
o Raffle with great prizes
”Celebrating Our Health” is in honor of the 12th annual Binational Health Week. This year Binational Health Week is Oct. 1-14. Binational Health Week has become one of the largest efforts in the Americas to improve the health and well-being of underserved Latino population living in the United States and Canada.
”Celebrating Our Health” is made possible by support from: Humboldt County Department of Health and Human Services, St. Joseph Health, College of the Redwoods, Rita’s Mexican Grill, LatinoNET and many other generous supporters.
