If you are working for an organization that is trying to impact health outcomes in Humboldt County, the Union Labor Health Foundation might have grant funds available to help. They are accepting Community Health Grant proposals through Sept. 4.

The foundation has a history of funding a diverse mix of health programs, supporting everything from improved access to healthcare to community based prevention work. The average sized grant is $5,000-$8,000.

Union Labor Health Foundation was established in 1997 to support the health and well being of the residents and communities of Humboldt County. In the last 15 years, the foundation has awarded $2.98 million to community health efforts through organizational grants, funding partnerships, nursing scholarships and assistance to low-income individuals for health and dental care.
