Dave Berman is presenting the stress reduction workshop “Mindfulness: Where Meditation Meets Hypnosis” on Wednesday Aug. 22 at 6 p.m. at the Hummingbird Healing Center, 1626 Myrtle Ave, Eureka. Admission is $7 for Hummingbird members and $10 for the general public.

Brain scan technology shows the two natural practices of meditation and hypnosis share a lot in common and western medicine is increasingly recognizing mindfulness-based stress reduction as a viable path to regulating body chemistry and supporting self-healing.

”If you think too much, or feel anxious or stressed by your situation, this workshop is for you,” said Berman. “You’ll leave feeling relaxed and take away techniques you can practice to feel good anytime.”

Hypnosis is used in clinical settings around the world. Other common applications include smoking cessation, weight loss, pain control, and relief from trauma and post-traumatic stress. As recently noted by many Olympic athletes, hypnosis is also an effective tool for performance enhancement.

Berman is a certified hypnotist, life coach and master practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). For more information call (707) 845-3749 or visit http://www.ManifestPositivity.com.
