I Can Cope is a series of free, educational peer support classes facilitated by medical professionals. Each class highlights a different topic relevant to the cancer experience to enhance knowledge and skills and empower participants to cope more effectively with the challenges that living with cancer can bring. Currently these classes are offered to cancer patients and caregivers in the comfort of their homes via telephone.
The next class will be on managing cancer-related fatigue and will be held on Saturday, July 21, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (and will be repeated in Spanish on Saturday, Aug. 11).
A class offered for caregivers only, titled “Supporting Your Loved One and Yourself through the Cancer Experience,” will be held on Wednesday, July 25, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. To register, please call 1-800-ACS-2345. For more information, please call 442-1436, ext. 3.
