Southern Trinity Health Services is pleased to announce the upcoming opening of its newest satellite clinic, Scotia Bluffs Community Health Center located at 500 B Street, Scotia.

With the recent announcement of the closure of Dr. Rigney’s Family Practice Clinic in Scotia, the opening of Scotia Bluffs Community Health Center is an important event for the residents of Scotia and the Eel River Valley. Scotia Bluffs Community Health Center is scheduled to open Monday, July 2, and will provide access to quality health care regardless of ability to pay. Most insurance plans are accepted and the clinic will bill the patient’s insurance company. The clinic a preferred provider for Blue Cross and Blue Shield. They are also a provider for Medi-Cal, Medicare, the County Medical Services Program (CMSP), CHDP, Healthy Families, CDP (Cancer Detection Program), Workers’ Compensation, and offer a sliding fee discount for self pay patients. According to CEO Cathy Larsen, “in addition to primary care services we are currently working on bringing dental services to Scotia Bluffs Community Health Center. We are very excited to bring these much needed services to the Eel River Valley communities.”

Scotia Bluffs Community Health Center provides the following services: family medicine, urgent care, DMV and sports physicals, complete physical examinations, chronic disease management, minor surgical procedures, women’s health care, family planning services, prenatal and postnatal care, immunizations, well-child care, nutrition counseling, electrocardiograms, basic pulmonary function testing.
