The commodities for this month are strawberry cups, creamed corn, applesauce, carrots, veggie beans, tuna, macaroni, bread, and various fruits and vegetables.
Individuals are asked to “self-certify” that they are eligible by signing in. Please bring identification with your local address. If you are picking up for a homebound person, you must have a form that we provide with their name, address, the number in their family, income, and authorization. We ask that individuals or families try to come only once a month to help us serve as many households as possible - but if you need food, please come.
The Food Pantry is usually open every Tuesday and Thursday 10:30 a.m. to noon, and Wednesdays 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Anyone wishing to donate food for the Food Pantry program or with an idea of how to improve the distribution program should talk to the volunteers.Thank you to everyone who donated food during the Letter Carrier Food drive and a special thanks to the Girl Scouts for weighing and sorting all of the great donations. It makes a big difference to the families we serve.
The monthly produce distribution known as Donate Don’t Dump began this month. Mark your calendars for the second Tuesday of each month until October and come to the Pantry between 10:30 a.m. and noon or the Baptist Church in Redway from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. to get great fruits and veggies from the Central Valley. For more information, please call Patti at 223-2430.
