Sanctuary Forest to discuss Van Arken watershed

On Nov. 30, Sanctuary Forest executive director April Newlander and lands director Galen Doherty will discuss the nonprofits vision for the Van Arken watershed and plans to purchase the property on Sanctuary Forest Radio Hour at 7 p.m. on KMUD.

Shamanic journeying workshop coming up

Healy Senior Center to hold fundraising dinner

A turkey and dessert dinner is set for Dec. 9 hosted by the Healy Senior Center. Dinner will be served from 6 to 8 p.m. and includes turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, potatoes, gravy and a variety of desserts.

Lions Club hold annual holiday boutique

The Garberville Lions Club is hosting the 18th annual holiday boutique at Redway School on Dec. 16 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Dec. 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There are expected to be more than 30 vendor booths selling a range of items, including baked goods, pottery, wooden toys, stationary, salves and balms, and fabric creations.

There will be a silent auction as well, and admission to the holiday boutique is free.

Foods will be provided by Soroptimist of the Redwoods.
