As the California Highway Patrol (CHP) prepares for it's next statewide open application period to become a CHP Officer, the CHP Humboldt Area office is offering a recruitment seminar for men and women who are interested in a challenging and rewarding career in law enforcement. The CHP is hosting the recruitment seminar to become a CHP officer Tuesday, July 1st at the Humboldt Fire Training Center, 3030 L Street, Eureka, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. This seminar will provide an overview of the CHP and is designed to prepare CHP applicants for the selection and hiring process. The minimum requirements to become a CHP officer include:
20 - 35 years of age
Vision correctable to 20/20 in each eye
High School diploma or equivalent
No felony convictions and good personal conduct
US Citizenship requirements
Additional minimum requirements
The next CHP online open application period will begin Monday, July 7th at 8 a.m. and end Thursday, July 10th at 5 p.m. For additional information, visit the CHP's online recruiting site at chpcareers.com.
