EUREKA >> The Eureka Sequoia Garden Club will meet at 1 p.m. on Friday, June, 20. This month the Garden Club will have a walking tour of four gardens, all located on O Street near Del Norte Street in Eureka. These four gardens were recognized in January 2013, as part of the winners of the "Garden Jewels in Eastwood Heights." This month's tour will be only for Eureka Sequoia Garden Club members. However, all are invited to join the Eureka Sequoia Garden Club on the tour and, as a new member, tour the four gardens. The tour begins at the garden located at 1815 O Street. The membership dues of $20 per individual or $30 per family includes attendance at this month's garden tour as well as the July 18 and August 15 garden tours.
At 1 p.m. the owners of "The Garden Jewels on Everding Street" will be presented with their Certificates of Recognition for their use of plant material, design principles and maintenance of their front yards. These landscapes were selected by club members Karen Buragesser, Maria Krenek, Cris House and Mary Lou Goodwin. The winning front yards include those of Karen Kinser Dubaldi, Peggy Jenkinson, Sue Alto and the King Chiropractic Office. The gardens appeared in the Thursday, June 12 Times-Standard.
