'Brennan' fire fully contained

A fire near Brennan Mountain Road in Willow Creek was fully contained at 3 p.m. on Thursday, according to Six Rivers National Forest Support Services Specialist Solomon Ezerta.

The "Brennan" fire started at 5 p.m. on Wednesday off U.S. Highway 96 and burned seven-tenths of an acre. There were no structures involved and no injuries.

"There are no more hot spots and it's now in patrol status, which means there is an aircraft and engine from Cal Fire standing by," Ezerta said.
