Civic Club learns about Blue Moon Gift Shop hist

January saw the Garberville Civic Club with two new members. The Civic Club is pleased to have young women join in their efforts to serve the community.

Bunny Wilder from the Blue Moon Gift Shop was the speaker for the February business meeting. She spoke on the history of Blue Moon Gift Shop, which has served the community for 37 years. It was started in Miranda and later moved to its present location in Garberville.

Items discussed during the business meeting included the income and expenses for January; names were presented for the March election of officers; and April 11 was set for the club’s next cookie walk.

It was with great sadness that they held a moment of silence for the loss of two longtime members that passed away in January. One asked that she not be named, and the other was Helen Bushnell. She was a member for 37 years. They both will be sorely missed.
