Tarrus Riley to play at the Black and Red Ball

Reggae superstar Tarrus Riley and Blak Soil will perform at this year’s Black and Red Ball at the Mateel Community Center in Redway on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14. Featuring legendary sax man, Dean Fraser, the Blak Soil Band is undoubtedly one of the tightest backing bands in reggae music and frontman, Tarrus Riley, is one of the hottest artists on the scene today. The Mateel hall will be decked out in the ball’s namesake colors as will many of the attendees for this annual soiree.

Advanced tickets are currently available online at mateel.org and at all the usual outlets. Mateel suggests those planning to attend buy tickets early as the Black and Red Ball with Tarrus Riley and Blak Soil is expected to sell out. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at Doors open at 8 p.m. with music at 9 p.m.
