On the heels of Reggae On The River’s sold-out French’s Camp homecoming, the global reggae family is abuzz with excitement as the Mateel Community Center now gets ready to pull out all the stops in celebration of 30 years of the iconic festival. Recognized as one of the longest running reggae music events in the world, Reggae On The River is an annual pilgrimage held along the banks of the majestic Eel River in the heart of Southern Humboldt County and fans have flocked here for three decades to experience the best in reggae/world music and local/ international culture.
Back once again at the festival’s original French’s Camp venue near Garberville this special 30th anniversary celebration is definitely not to be missed. Tickets will go on sale (online only) at 12:01 a.m. this Friday, Jan. 10 and are available exclusively at www.reggaeontheriver.com.
The main three-day festival will take place Friday through Sunday, Aug. 1-3 and a limited number of early arrival tickets will allow access to the grounds on Thursday, July 31 for an extra evening of entertainment and early-arrival camping/ parking privileges.
All tickets include camping and they are priced at $190 for the three-day concert and camping pass, or $250 for the four-day early arrival concert and camping pass. A limited number of hard tickets will also be held back for local outlets in Humboldt, Mendocino, and Sonoma counties and these sales will begin on Feb. 1. Please note that there will be no single day tickets offered this year.
A very limited number of only 100 on-site RV spaces will be available for public purchase and are available on a first come first served basis at a price of $500 per RV. RV reservations must be made in advance through the Mateel office at 707-923-3368, extension 21, and will not be sold online. Over-the-phone RV sales will also begin on Friday, Jan. 10 and allow for on-site RV parking/camping only (no hookups or admission to the event).
