JV boys fall short in thrilling comeback against Arcata

South Fork’s JV boys found themselves down 10 points early in the game against Arcata and it stayed that way for most of the game, eventually dropping to 15 down with just over three minutes left in the 4th quarter.

Coach Todd Vandenack subbed in two freshmen while Kevin Vandenack was at the freethrow line and the team went on a roll. Javier Alatorre hit two 3-pointers and Kevin Vandenack hit three on his way to 18 points in the fourth quarter. The Cubs cut the deficit from 15 to 3 and almost made a 3-pointer to finish the game that ended with Arcata winner 66-63 in front of an excited crowd at home in Miranda.
