The 10th annual Northcoast Youth Summit, Illuminate Your Future, will be held at College of the Redwoods on Saturday, March 16, from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. All forms are on the website: www.ysummit.org. The lowest fee is for participants who register by Friday, Feb. 15. Fees increase incrementally through the end of the month as noted on the website.
This dynamic conference with over 300 participants will empower youth and adults with the tools and skills to become agents of change in their world. Collaborating hosts include: UCCE Humboldt 4-H Youth Development, Friday Night Live, Decade of Difference, College of the Redwoods and Academy of the Redwoods.
All attendees are asked to bring clean socks for Betty Chinn’s "White Socks for Blue Angels." Betty Chinn’s programs have been the focus of other Summit’s service projects.
The keynote speakers are local entrepreneur, Alister Shirazi, and distinguished toastmaster, Rebecca Kimbel. Both speakers bring unique perspectives and successful experiences to share.
The conference will offer 48 engaging, interactive workshop sessions including"Fight Like a Girl," "Light Up Your iPad," "Secrets for High School Success," "How to Sell Anything," "Healthy Relationships," "Have Fun and Get it Done," and much more.
