Refujio Perez Pimentel, born December 11, 1943 in Coalcoman, Michoacan, Mexico, died at his home in Alderpoint on December 29, 2012 at the age of 69.
Refujio "Cuco" Pimentel arrived in Eureka, CA in 1967. There he met his beautiful wife to be, Maria De Jesus Iruegas who he married after three years of dating. They soon moved to Alderpoint, where he became an employee of North Western Pacific Railroad and worked for them for over 18 years. He then went on to work for VSL Corporation in Campbell, CA for another five years and then at the Alderpoint General Store before retiring full time.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Maria Pimentel; children, Javier Pimentel, Lionel Pimentel and daughter, Maria Navarrette; and their spouses, Sarah Graff and Jacob Navarrette. His three grandsons, Vikter Sage, Gavin Taylor and Diego Antonio will miss his strength, unbelievable work ethic, and love for his family that he shared with them all.
Friends and family are welcome to attend a memorial service in his honor to be held on Saturday, Jan. 26 at 11 a.m. at the Alderpoint Christian Church. A celebration of his life will be held after the mass at the Alderpoint Community Center.
