Southern Humboldt Working Together is delighted to feature a presentation by Shelley Conrad who is now a fully certified midwife. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 5, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Civic Club on Maple Lane in Garberville.
Shelley was one of the recipients of the Breath of Life award, a fund established to honor the memory of local midwife Avi Livingstone. The intent of the Breath of Life fund is to help talented and dedicated people in their education, with a view towards developing trained and certified midwives willing to bring their talents to our region.
Shelley’s presentation will touch upon her 30 years of experience delivering babies and helping women and children, and on a vision of a community honoring and aiding the birthing process, the wellness of children and mothers, and many other things. There will be time for questions and discussion.
All are welcome (including babies).
