Free senior legal services on Oct. 29 at Healy Senior Center

On Monday, Oct. 29 at 12:30 p.m., attorney Alan Mason will make a presentation on "The Affordable Healthcare Act - How It Affects Seniors" at the Healy Senior Center, 456 Briceland Road in Redway. The presentation will be held during lunch.

Private appointments are available between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. that day. Elder law consultations will be available free of charge to low income clients and people 60 and older on the following topics: public benefits (Medi-Cal, County Medical Services Program, Social Security and SSI/SSP overpayments, CalWorks, etc.); housing issues such as tenants rights; family law (custody, divorce, legal separation, guardianship, child support, grandparents visitation, adoption, conservatorship); bankruptcy, debt defense and consumer law.
