Briceland Vineyards most awarded winery at Humboldt County Fair

Each of the 11 wines Briceland Vineyards entered in the 2012 Humboldt County Fair wine competition earned awards, making Briceland the most awarded winery in this year’s competition.

Receiving top honors were 2010 Lake County Syrah - Double Gold, Humboldt County Rosé of Pinot Noir - Gold, Humboldt County Brut Rosé Sparkling (Méthode Champenoise) - Gold, Humboldt County Brut Sparkling (Méthode Champenoise) - Gold and 2011 Lake County Sauvignon Blanc - Gold.

Also earning medals were 2010 Humboldt County Pinot Noir, 2011 Humboldt County Bosco Vineyard Pinot Noir, 2011 Humboldt County Sauvignon Blanc, 2011 Humboldt County Chardonnay, 2011 Mendocino County Lolonis Vineyard Chardonnay, and 2009 Lake County Syrah.

Briceland Vineyards has earned awards since it was founded in 1985 and is well known for consistently offering high quality local wines and for championing commercial wine production from Humboldt County grown grapes.

Briceland holds two two-day tasting events at the winery during Memorial Day and Thanksgiving weekends.

Briceland’s award winning wines are available at the winery, in stores and fine restaurants throughout Humboldt County, as well as at Briceland’s tasting room, Persimmons Garden Gallery in Redway, and are available to be shipped as gifts.
