South Fork’s netters avenged their early season home loss to the Ferndale Wildcats by winning in Ferndale last Tuesday 25-13, 25-10, 23-25, 25-19. The win brings the Cubs to a 5-1 league record, 12-4 overall.
"We came out on fire and played hard the first two games, but Ferndale battled back to win the 3rd," said head coach Lisa Todd. But the Lady Cubs did not allow the Wildcats to gain momentum and shut them down for the win in the fourth set.
South Fork had a strong presence at the net with 32 kills on the night, led by senior Shasta Carr with 14 of her own. She also had 6 digs and 8 points.
