South Fork’s boys’ soccer team lost to Arcata in Arcata last week 3-0. With the good result against the league-leading big school, the Cubs continue to keep their heads up as they make their way to the end of a season having faced very little competition at their own level, both Ferndale and St. Bernard’s having dropped their boys’ soccer programs. The Cubs will wrap up their 2012 season at home on Wednesday against the McKinleyville Panthers with a 7 p.m. kick-off. Seniors Leo Horvath, David Beebe and Damian Alatorre will finish their 4-year careers of proudly representing South Fork on the soccer pitch.
