The theme of this year’s celebration will be Cultures Around the World with each class decorating their floats from a different country.
Booster Club president, Michelle Bushnell, will be handing out old South Fork jerseys to various businesses in town to wear on Friday. She is asking everyone to dress in blue and gold for the day to show their support.
This year’s schedule:
12:50 p.m. - rally on the field at South Fork
1:30 p.m. - girls’ soccer game
3:00 - boys’ soccer game
4:00 - volleyball game
5:00 - plated steak dinner for $15, which includes salad, bread, beans and a drink
5:30 p.m. - junior varsity football game
6:30 p.m. - halftime of junior varsity game, with the announcement of senior athletes and their parents
7:00 p.m. - Homecoming king and queen crowning and floats, with the return of a cheerleading show
8:00 p.m. - varsity football game with
8:40 p.m. - (time approximate) halftime and judging of class floats
The Booster Club will also be serving smoked pork tenderloin sandwiches for $8. Homecoming sweatshirts will be available and Tyler Gooch will be printing on any shirts and sweatshirts.
A dessert table will be available and the girls’ softball team will have French fries and snow cones for sale as a fundraiser. The Garberville-Redway Area Chamber of Commerce will be offering glitter tattoos.
