Humboldt Deputy Sheriff’s Organization (HDSO) is proud to announce its support for the Wounded Warrior Project with a donation of $500.
HDSO member Destry Henderson convinced 36 Humboldt sheriff’s deputies and others to grow their best mustaches for six weeks to generate sponsors and raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project. Deputies were judged in multiple categories including Best in Show, Weight, Most Pathetic, Multicolored, Creepiest and Outlaw Stache. After awards were presented and pledges counted, Destry Henderson announced he had raised a total of $1,380 for the Wounded Warrior Project.
”I am very proud of the outstanding leadership demonstrated by deputy Henderson,” said HDSO president Ernie Stewart. “His selfless act of generosity was not only fun for our deputies, but also improved awareness of the incredible sacrifices made every day by our soldiers across the globe.”
Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is an organization that raises awareness and enlists the public’s support for the needs of injured service members.
