Jason Anthony Warren
A judge on Wednesday, Sept. 18 scheduled a Dec. 9 hearing to determine if there is enough evidence to hold Jason Anthony Warren to stand trial on charges that he murdered two people last September.
Warren, age 28, has pleaded not guilty to charges that he purposely ran down three joggers on Old Arcata Road - killing one and severely injuring two others - after murdering a woman in Hoopa. If convicted, Warren faces life in prison without the possibility of parole or the death penalty.
Warren was out of custody on a Cruz waiver awaiting sentencing on an unrelated case when he allegedly murdered Dorothy Ulrich, age 47, in Hoopa before purposely hitting the joggers, killing Humboldt State University geography instructor Suzanne Seemann.
