On Thursday, June 21 at around 8:30 a.m., the Humboldt County Drug Task Force assisted by the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office conducted a probation search at a room located at the Lone Pine Motel in Garberville.

Agents searched the motel room that was being occupied by Brandy Anne Land, age 38, and Wade Daniel Harris, age 30. Both subjects are on felony probation out of Humboldt County. When agents searched the room they located approximately six pounds of processed marijuana, scales and package materials along with approximately one-half ounce of methamphetamine in the toilet bowl in the bathroom. It appeared that Harris attempted to flush the methamphetamine down the toilet as agents were knocking on the door to the motel room.

Land was arrested for possession for sales of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance smoking pipe, maintaining a room for the distributing of a controlled substance and for violation of probation. Harris was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and violation of probation. Both Land and Harris was transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility where bail was set at $50,000 each.
