Stu Cook and Doug "Cosmo" Clifford may not have intended it, but their band Creedence Clearwater Revisited has taken on a startling life of its own. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame rhythm section (bass and drums respectively) from the legendary group Creedence Clearwater Revival launched the Creedence Clearwater Revisited project in 1995 to once again perform live Creedence Clearwater Revival hits - touchstones of a generation. Though the pair initially only planned to play private parties, Creedence Clearwater Revisited now performs up to 100 shows a year and has released the album "Recollection."

RATT
Prior to selling more than 16 million albums worldwide and establishing itself as one of the most popular groups of the 1980s, Ratt perfected its trademark mix of guitar heroics, anthemic hooks and hedonistic attitude playing the clubs along Los Angeles’ famed Sunset Strip. The band signed with Atlantic Records, releasing its debut in 1984. Out Of The Cellar sold more than three million copies and rocketed into Billboard’s Top Ten on the strength of its first single, “Round And Round.” Peaking at #12 on Billboard’s Singles chart, the track was the first in a long line of hit songs and videos that made Ratt a fixture on the radio and MTV as well as a major live act playing to sold-out crowds across the nation.
DELBERT McCLINTON
In the early 1970s, McClinton and his Ft. Worth pal Glen Clark headed out to Los Angeles, where they cut two obscure but now prized albums for Atlantic Records as Delbert & Glen. Returning to Texas, he landed a deal with ABC Records. With the release of his 1975 solo debut, Victim of Life’s Circumstances, McClinton firmly stamped his Ft. Worth-bred blend of blues, country and blue-eyed soul onto the pop musical landscape. A succession of influential and critically acclaimed albums followed, along with coups like appearing on "Saturday Night Live" in its heyday -- an acknowledgement of the pages torn from Delbert’s play book by Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi when they formed The Blues Brothers. He scored hits like "Giving It Up For Your Love" and "Sandy Beaches," won a Grammy with Bonnie Raitt for their "Good Man/Good Woman" duet, and over the years has enjoyed covers of his songs by Emmylou Harris, The Blues Brothers, Vince Gill, Wynonna, Lee Roy Parnell, Martina McBride, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, among others.
Recently, when Delbert "came roaring out of the gate on Nothing Personal," as Rolling Stone put it, his stature as one of the living icons of genuine American music returned to the forefront. The album debuted on five Billboard charts: Hot 200 Albums, Blues, Country, Independent and Internet Sales. What’s the secret behind his newfound success? "Life is better than it’s ever been for me," McClinton explains.
TEN YEARS AFTER
In 1967, four young musicians from Nottinghamshire, England, Leo Lyons, Ric Lee, and Chick Churchill together with Alvin Lee, formed Ten Years After and became one of the biggest names and the most explosive quartet on the world stage.
Their now legendary encore, I’m Going Home performed at The Woodstock Music and Arts Festival in August 1969, was captured on film and exposed their jazz, blues, rock amalgam to a large audience who were blown away by the intensity of the band’s performance when the Academy Award winning documentary was released. Their ten-minute appearance in the film is an acknowledged highlight and established Ten Years After a place in rock history.
Sadly, Alvin Lee decided to go solo in 1975 and the group ceased touring and recording. However, there has always been a demand for Ten Years After and, over the following twenty-plus years, there were to be three short-lived attempts at reformation and one new studio record, About Time. Each time, Alvin quit to return to his solo career.
A chance opportunity early in 2002 for the three founder members of Ten Years After - Leo Lyons (bass), Chick Churchill (keyboards) and Ric Lee (Drums) to work together gave them an insight into the intense, re-awakened interest in the band. By public request, the band is back together. With new member, sensational, twenty-seven year old guitarist/vocalist Joe Gooch, they are recreating the music, energy and excitement they’ve been known for over the past four decades.
Ten Years After plays most of their classics, but it is not an oldies band riding around on past successes. It has taken up the reins and is riding into the future. Joe Gooch is fully conversant with all of Ten Years After’s previous triumphs, but he has a distinct personality that breathes new life into the band’s performance and helps forge a new direction with this highly respected team of legendary musicians.
Ten Years After... Now, the band’s first studio album, was released in April 2004 in Europe and came out on July 18th 2005 in the USA and Canada on the Fuel 2000 label. Throughout 2004 the band toured Germany, Belgium, Holland, Italy, Switzerland, Scandinavia, France, Czech Republic and Canada. 2005 proved to be even busier with tours completed in Europe and concerts being finalized for 2006 in USA & Canada, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Dubai and many other territories.
August 2005 also saw the release of TYA’s double live album Roadworks in Europe to great critical acclaim.
It was also released in the USA in 2006.

GARY HOEY
Multi-tasking as writer, producer and guitar player, Hoey has had clients who include DISNEY, ESPN, NO FEAR, performed the National Anthem for the SAN DIEGO PADRES and the BOSTON REDSOX. Hoey’s first break came when Ozzy Osbourne showed up in Boston looking for a guitarist. Osborne liked Hoey’s tape enough to fly him to LA for an audition. Three months after the audition, he was heading west in a U-Haul, with seventeen thousand dollars in his pocket from teaching guitar and nowhere to go once he got to L.A.
In 1993 Gary Hoey launched his career with the hit song "Hocus Pocus." His fiery technique helped to send it to the top 5 on Billboards charts, The Boston raised guitarist covered the tune on his debut album, Animal Instinct (Warner Bros Records), transforming Hoey, a then-struggling player into a cult hero. He followed with the soundtrack to the surf saga Endless Summer II (Warner/Reprise), which cemented his status as a demi-god among surfers. Even Dick Dale, the surf-guitar king gave Hoey his blessing, proclaiming him his favorite modern guitarist.
Hoey has toured and traded licks with the likes of Brian May (Queen), Ted Nugent, Foreigner, Joe Satriani, The Doobie Bros, Kenny Wayne Shepard, Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, and Peter Frampton” to name a few.
In addition to his endorsement deal with Fender, Gary also recently signed on with Peavey Amps, to assist in the design of the Gary Hoey Signature Amplifier.
JIMI JEFF AND THE GYPSY BAND
Hands-down the best Jimi Hendrix cover band ever -- a true tribute to Jimi Hendrix - and much more.
The band has a large and ever-growing following in Humboldt County and across the West. Besides Hendrix, the powerful trio does funk, blues, rock and more.
Band members include Jimi Jeff Robinson, Dale Cash and Mike Yassemi -- all with decades of experience. Jimi began his career on the South’s Chittlin Circuit playing in a variety of funk bands. He then moved on to Chicago and played with blues greats including Magic Slim, B.B. King, Buddy Guy and more.
Dale Cash was the long-time bass player for Eureka’s Buddy Brown and the Hound Dogs, Ruben Diaz of Earth, Wind and Fire, Sam Maez, Randy Strom, Jerry Miller of Moby Grape, the Strand Band and Karen Dumont.
Mike Yassemi had his own recording studio and worked as a record producer/engineer. He has also performed with bands such as Thom Pace and Revolver, The Mixed Nuts, Dokter Please, BBC, Full Sail, Small Fish, Spud Gun, Fire Pals (for kids) and most recently with Jimi Jeff and the Gypsy Band.
The band plays frequently at Humboldt County clubs including the Humboldt Brewery, Rumours After Five Club, Sal’s Myrtlewood Lounge, and the Six Rivers Brewery. They also perform at the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, the Humboldt County Fair, Eureka’s Summer Concert Series, the Mateel Community Center’s Summer Arts and Music Festival in Benbow and Eureka’s Arts Alive among others.
SPUDGUN
Spudgun has been rockin’ the Northern California music scene for the past 12 years creating powerful original songs and nice renditions of some of their favorite classics. Rob Cunningham’s gravely, sultry voice and rippin’ lead guitar solos add a rough touch to the overall sound. Horn player, Rich Bradley is known for his wide range of musical talents playing sax, clarinet, and a mean harp. Bill Brooks on the bass and Mike Yassemi on drums create the powerful foundation for the band. Keyboardist Jerry Thompson will be joining the band just for this year’s Run and Guitarist Duane Flatmo rounds out the band with his own style rock leads and vocals. You may have even seen him on TV playing the guitar with and electric egg mixer. Ya, that’s right.... Shows like Late Night with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and recently on America’s Got Talent. Check out this local favorite opening the Run on Friday night!
