Bob Baker and Hal Lepoff will perform at the Bach Festival in Redway on Sunday.

There will be classical instrumental music, and vocals with refreshments served after the concert.

This year there will be a new performer, Curt Johnson from the Napa Valley Symphony. Johnson was born to missionary parents in China in 1935. He arrived in this country in 1944. Two years later he heard a cellist and fell in love with the sound of the instrument. Over the years he has studied with Alex Brown, Gabor Rejto, and, more recently, in a master class with Irene Sharp. Currently, he is studying with John Bennett. He has played with various orchestras in Southern California and for 29 years with the Napa Valley Symphony. For the past few years he has devoted his time to piano trios, string quartets, and cello/piano works. His musical career slowed down after a year of teaching high school music when he went to medical school. He has recently retired and is devoting his time to music.
