Salas’s work spans the Pacific Coast of the Americas from Alaska to the equator. He has been specializing in underwater nature and commercial photography since 1980. His lecture exposes and reveals the truth of life through the art of photography of what is going on now in the oceans depths, becoming a voice of the sea. His goal is to provide an underwater education through portraits, share with divers and non-divers his experiences while getting the knowledge out about keeping the ocean a healthy place.

After his presentation, Salas will autograph copies of his newest book, Blue Visions. It is a collection in a series of remarkable photography essays: the Sea of Light Trilogy. The final chapter, Luminous Sea, will be released in the spring of 2015.
