Beginnings is having a benefit dance party. Come on out to Briceland and help them support their schools and community center.

Join them on Friday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. at the Beginnings Octagon and dance the night away. Join them in the festively decorated Octagon and enjoy the sounds of two local favorite bands.

The Funnicators, as the name implies is all about fun with Mumzer on harps, Michael Curran on drums and vocals, Damien Roomets, Rob McKee on guitar and Jasha Mae on bass and vocals. You will want to get on the dance floor and dance to their rendition of soul classics by James Brown, Otis Redding and Wilson Pickett with songs like Midnight Hour, I Feel Good and Mustang Sally. They also cover blues and Johnny Cash.

Also playing for your listening and dancing pleasure will be Crossroads. This group features Greg, Orlando, Brock and Arnold. Come and party to their bluesy, groovy, funky sound.

Doors open at 7 p.m. with adults $15, teens $5 and under 12 free. Food and libations will be available.
