Since 1947, the nonprofit Humboldt County Historical Society has worked to preserve original historical materials related to Northern California history. Membership, which originally stood at 117, now numbers nearly 3,000, making Humboldt’s one of the largest county historical organizations in the country. Members receive the Humboldt Historian, a quarterly magazine featuring a wide variety of articles on local history, people, and places, with many historical photographs from the Historical Society collections.
Proceeds from the party and auction at the Benbow Inn will go toward the Humboldt County Historical Society’s most important projects, enabling them to continue their work of acquiring, preserving, interpreting, creating, and sharing historical information, and to further an understanding and appreciation of all peoples, places, events, and activities of Humboldt County.
Tickets are $35 per person. Guests of the Benbow Inn or RV resort will be given complimentary tickets to the event. Come enjoy an afternoon or weekend getaway, while benefiting the Humboldt County Historical Society.
