Participants have been brainstorming such things as an official name, how members should be identified on the street and the sorts of information that people will need to have, including information suitable for tourists with questions and travelers in need of direction.
Also up for discussion and planning are a series of helpful workshops, potentially involving experts from nonprofits as well as law enforcement.
The concept behind the group is to create “event security” for the local towns, helping orient and introduce newcomers, travelers, and tourists to the region and providing early intervention in potentially difficult situations.
This is an open meeting. For more information call Paul or Kathy at 923-4488.
