On Thursday, Sept. 5, local singer and guitarist Ray Bevitori will be playing and singing. Audiences have been pleased with his regular performances in Shelter Cove for many years, covering everything from Hank Williams to Jimmy Hendrix.
On Friday, Sept. 6, the Sam Maez quartet will play, featuring Sam Maez on trumpet, Ken Lawrence on bass, Jim Wilde on guitar and Michael Currran on drums. Maez is a fluent trumpet virtuoso who has held the jazz brunch at the Waterfront Café in Eureka for over a decade. He has shared the stage with Art Pepper, David Benoit, and Hank Ballard.
Persimmons is open Wednesday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. with music from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wine from the local Briceland Vineyards are featured. Delicious salads, vegetarian and meat dishes and desserts are served. Persimmons has an art gallery and a garden setting.
