The fair is a gathering of craftspeople, artisans, musicians, dancers and community groups to share their talents and wares; to celebrate the creativity of the human spirit and the diverse, creative community; and to encourage resilience, cooperation, creativity and respect for all life on earth.
In an effort to reduce their impact on the planet, the fair has again teamed up with Zero Waste Humboldt to work toward a goal of zero waste. Look for ZWH volunteers around the fair to help sort compost, recycling and trash.
The Same Old People invite you to celebrate the changing seasons in your community at the 40th annual North Country Fair. Please join them on the Arcata Plaza, Saturday and Sunday, September 21-22 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
No dogs, please leave your four-footed friends at home.
Samba Parade will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. with Samba da Allegria, and the All Species Parade on Sunday takes place at 1 p.m. with Synapsis, SCRAP Humboldt and the Northcoast Environmental Center.
