The festivities will begin at 3 p.m. at Whitethorn Construction, 545 Shelter Cove Road. The chicken and rib barrel barbecue dinner will once again be prepared by the famous Early family with Greg and his two sons, Travis and Todd.
There will be lots of tempting deserts, beer, wine, and soft drinks available.
The fire department will be celebrating the retirement of their chief Ben Feisler and the promotion of their new chief Robert Puno. Entertainment will include three talented Humboldt County bands: The Lost Coast Marimbas with their tropical rhythm sound; Meat Bags featuring Doug Cox, sure to be a crowd pleaser; ending with the fun-filled dance music of Vintage Soul.
