Humboldt Botanical Gardens offers just the class for you. On Saturday, Aug. 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Growing Roses in Humboldt County will be presented with instructors and expert rosarians Sue Silva, Richard Grabowski, and Paula Grabowski.
Learn about planting, fertilizing, pest prevention, pruning, and irrigation of roses in this unique environment of Humboldt County. Class will meet in the rose garden.
This class is free to members and $10 for non-members. The class is sponsored by the Humboldt Rose Society.

Humboldt Botanical Garden is located at the north entrance to College of the Redwoods on Tompkins Hill Road, Exit No. 658, off U.S. Highway 101. It is open Wednesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There is plenty of free parking in the Mercer Fraser Auto Garden.
