To kick off Mateel Community Center’s Black & Red weekend, comedians, Dax Jordan, Richard Bain and the Bada Bling Burlesque will be performing this Friday, Feb. 1 at a special Comedy Cabaret. (The next night the Mateel will host its annual Black & Red Ball.)

Headlining the show will be Sacramento comedian, Dax Jordan.

Richard Bain started performing as a stand-up comedian in 2003 in North Carolina. He worked at Charlie Goodnight’s Comedy Club as the house MC and a couple years later, moved to Oregon where he became one of Portland’s favorite comedians.

The Bada Bling Burlesque Troupe has a surprise performance planned for this special Black & Red Comedy Cabaret and will be providing table service as well as serving up their delicious cupcakes to benefit the troupe.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m. with comedy starting at 8:30 p.m. Admission is $10 at the door and the show is recommended for those 18 and over only.
