Headlining the show will be Sacramento comedian, Dax Jordan, who says his upbringing as the only child of an original L.A. valley girl and a Midwestern jazz drummer, during the 80’s stand-up comedian boon, accounts for his corner on “that unique beatnik/mallrat/trekkie demographic.”
Jordan, who can be heard on XM/Sirius satellite radio and The Bob & Tom Show, credits his early exposure to everything from Stan Freberg to George Carlin with ingraining in him a wide variety of styles and perspectives. He’s appeared in several films and television programs seen internationally.
Richard Bain started performing as a stand-up comedian in 2003 in North Carolina. He worked at Charlie Goodnight’s Comedy Club as the house MC and a couple years later moved to Oregon where he became one of Portland’s favorite comedians.
For the last two years has been broadening his career in Los Angeles where, when not doing stand-up, he can usually be found making videos with a group of friends, better known as Decision Makers Penthouse (DMP).
Bain starred in one of DMP’s videos that was featured on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien. The Decision Makers Penthouse videos have been featured as Will Ferrell’s favorites on funnyordie.com. Bain has performed at the Bridgetown Comedy Festival every year, San Francisco Comedy and Burrito Festival in 2012, and won the Flapper’s Uncle Clyde’s Comedy Contest.
