Additional topics will include an update on this year’s river flows, causes and solutions of low flows, the affects of human use on streamflows and how human use has changed in the Mattole watershed. This quarter’s radio show topic was inspired by the current collaboration between Sanctuary Forest, various Eel River groups and HSU to expand the work being done in the Mattole River to surrounding watersheds - specifically a proposed project to evaluate applicability of the Sanctuary Forest Storage and Forbearance Program to a tributary on the Eel River. Please join us for what is sure to be a lively and animated conversation about water conservation in Humboldt County.
Sanctuary Forest is a land trust whose mission is to conserve the Mattole River watershed and surrounding areas for wildlife habitat and aesthetic, spiritual and intrinsic values, in cooperation with our diverse community.
