Damien Roomets, left, presented a beautiful Dobro to aspiring musician Zane Coleman on Monday, Aug. 27 at Persimmons Garden Gallery in Redway. Friends of Roomets, The Band of Heathens from Austin, Texas, brought the Dobro with them to present as a birthday present. The band later signed the guitar. Zane is the son of Chris and Jodi Coleman of Ferndale. His brother, TJ, was also in attendance, along with grandparents Bill Jones and Barbara Brightman of Garberville. Jones will make his debut performance at Persimmons on Sat., Sept. 8 accompanied by Damien and friends.
