The Humboldt Branch of the American Association of University Women welcomes interested members of the community to learn more about what AAUW is and does. Sue Cochran, past president of AAUW-California and current president of the AAUW special projects fund, will tell of the history and mission of AAUW and provide an update on the latest organization news. She comes from both a government and corporate management career and currently consults in non-profit management.
Bring questions to the Saturday, Sept. 8, gathering at the Red Lion Hotel, 4th and V Streets, Eureka starting at 9:30 a.m. A buffet breakfast will be available for $16. If you choose not to partake in the buffet, a $7 fee helps cover program costs. Coffee and tea will be available.
For members, this is a time to sign up for interest groups. For visitors, this is a time to learn of the local branch’s many activities. Membership is open to women and men who have degrees from two- or four-year colleges or universities or equivalent certification; there is also a student membership category.
