Got music? Local pros to kids galore will put on a great show this Thursday, June 28 at a house party at the Sprowel Creek Music Studio in Garberville starting at 6 p.m. Dinner will be served to all guests. There is no cover. Donations will be accepted to help keep the studio alive and growing.

Kids from the studio’s Noise Farm Day Camp will perform at 6 p.m. Twango Macallan, The Spring Canyon Band, and the CIA Special Ops Team will follow. The bands will play, and dinner will be served starting at 6:45 p.m. Music will end with a CIA Action (Conducted Improv Activity) under the direction of Andy Barnett.

The Sprowel Creek Music Studio is housed in Les Sher’s old law office, 293 Sprowel Creek Road, in Garberville. Operated by Marie Stretch since May of last year, the studio offers music lessons, band rehearsal space, workshops, Noise Farm Summer Day Camps, and a casual outdoor venue for small events. Music educators Marie Stretch, Andy Barnett, and Anson Wait (all members of the Garberville Town Band) give lessons in guitar, voice, keyboards, percussion, brass and woodwind instruments.

Two more Noise Farm Camp will be offered in the weeks of August 13 and 20, Monday through Wednesday. Campers perform the opening set at the house parties on the Thursdays following each camp.
