Poetry reading by local author

Dr. Peter Nash, who has been a practicing physician at the Garberville Community Healthcare Clinic since 2003, will be hosting a reading of poetry from his book, "Coyote Brush - Poems from the Lost Coast" on Friday, June 22 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The community is invited to attend this free event at 901 Redwood Drive in Garberville, home of King Range Books.

Dr. Nash recently won a national book length poetry contest for writers over sixty sponsored by Off the Grid Press in Somerville, MA. He has published poems and short stories in almost a hundred magazines and anthologies. Peter lives in Petrolia where he writes most mornings, boards two old mares, occasionally helps his wife Judy in the garden, and wanders along the Mattole River with his dog Quigley. Many of his poems celebrate rural life.
