The Redwood Region Audubon Society will host a bird walk Sunday at 8 a.m. The walk will begin from the Tooby Park playground parking lot.

Walk leader, Tom Leskiw, lives outside Eureka with his wife, Sue, and their dog, Gypsy. He retired in 2009 following a 31-year career with Six Rivers National Forest. His essay, book and movie reviews and spoken word lyrics have appeared in a variety of print and online journals. His monthly column appears in the Redwood Region Audubon Society Newsletter.

This will be an easy two-to-three-hour walk. All levels of birding skills are welcome. Binoculars are not provided but often shared. No dogs. Meet at the Tooby Park playground area parking lot. For more information, call 943-9786.
