The Summer Music Series continues at the Peg House in Leggett with all profits from tickets sales to benefit music departments at both Leggett and Southern Humboldt Unified Schools. August 1 will feature ISIS and the Cold Truth. The sounds that come out of this band are funky, bluesy original music and unique covers.

Isis & The Cold Truth is a unique blend of musicians put together by Isis in 2004 at JJ’s Blues in San Jose. She first partnered with Vinny Johnson, guitar player and singer-songwriter extraordinaire. Isis then tapped old musical friend and soon-to-be husband, Andy Jonsson, to take over the bass chair. Les "Blues Buddha" Rosenthal is the harmonica man - his tone and dynamics make him a much sought after player. He has played on and off with TCT since the beginning. The band has had several different drummers, until they met legendary drummer FuzzyJohn Oxendyne of Moby Grape, The Sons of Champlin, and many other bands in 2009. Along with Fuzzy came the last piece of the puzzle: Guitar player and singer-songwriter, producer, recording engineer, TJ Politzer, formerly of The Sundogs, KIdd Afrika. TJ spent most of his career on the road playing all over the world, and recording several albums with each band.

The show takes the stage at 2 p.m. Tickets are on sale at the Peg House at Leggett, Tsunami Surf and Sport, Blue Moon, Blue Star, and Clover Willison Insurance, all in Garberville. Ticket prices are $20. To view the whole concert series check out the web site www.AMouseInYourPocket.com for more information. Food and beverages are available for sale at the Peg House. No outside ice chests are allowed into the concert site. This is a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon and to support our local schools. For more information call the Peg House at 925-6444.
