Local pastelist Ralphie Hendrix is the featured artist for the month of August at the Mateel Arts Co-op Gallery. The scene shown here is titled “SR 1, RR Xing.” After taking a train trip from Oakland to Santa Barbara, she decided on the theme "Views of the Golden State as seen from the Coast Starlight Train." It is great fun to ride the train as one sees much more of this beautiful state than one would see from the freeways. Although there will be no Arts Alive function at the gallery for August, all are invited to view the show during August.
